"Mystic Modes is a mini-spa, vintage clothing, and metaphysical shop, with products ranging from candles, incense, oils, stones, sages, statues, books, and charms to handmade oils, spell kits, herbs, and instructions for usage of all for sale. We offer tarot card readings , guided meditations, and aura cleansing, as well as spa services such as crystal facials, massage therapy, energy work, and body waxing. We also carry clothing, shoes, purses, and jewelry, vintage and new. We offer stone wrapping for pendulums and jewelry wear. We have a friendly environment, very warm and embracing. Mystic Modes also has a very spacious parking lot, which is unusual for the downtown area. We are also located near bus and shuttle lines. Mystic Modes also hand-makes products for skin and body, and uses only natural ingredients. We also have a resident deck kitty named Shaft who loves visitors. Come visit us and Shaft!"

New Moon Gallery is more of a New Age art store. They do carry some basic pagan/Wiccan products here too though. They sell spell candles (small candles) in different colors, essential oils, pagan/Wiccan bumper stickers, a small selection of pewter and silver jewelry, crystals, incense, and books on paganism and Wicca. I'd like to see more Goddess products, but this is the South, after all. New Moon carries a lot of art and hand-crafted products. Anyone who's an earthy-crunchy New Age type would like this store. If you are into original art pieces, you'll enjoy this store too.

Unique vintage finds and hand-painted furniture provide a bohemian backdrop for this metaphysical boutique offering new age items, candles, incense, books and jewelry. The in-store Apothecary boasts over 80 herbs, and custom blended salts, scrubs and oils are handcrafted daily. Curiosity seekers, kindred spirits and art aficionados welcome.

They are located in East Tennessee, in South Knoxville, close to the Great Smoky Mountains and the University of Tennessee.

A HUGE Atlanta-based occult store. They had an unbelievable selection of crystals and jewelry there. I loved it. Starwitch

(This place was cool too, though not nearly as big as Phoenix and Dragon. The owner was very friendly to me though and I did really like their jewelry.)

The Inner Space is the home of twelve professional psychics and hypnotherapists and shares a building with The Hoot Owl (above). The Hoot Owl and Inner Space jointly host a monthly psychic fair and classes, discussion groups, metaphysical lectures and workshops.

Other Resources

Witchvox.com is a good place to find local groups, covens, clergy, shops, and events. Sadly, most of the shops listed there are no longer in business, which is why I try to keep this page updated. The owners don't bother to remove their listing from Witchvox when they close their store down. But the local events are probably up-to-date since those can't be posted very far ahead of time.
