Re: Wands

Hi, Sakura. I'm using it more for texture actually. I want it to feel soft and silky. I don't care for it being simply sanded out and smoothed that way. It needs something more.

Wands

Hi, everybody. I am making a wand out of wood and I was wondering what everyone uses for a sealant or finish? I tried to use shellac but that didn't come out looking too natural. I've read that paraffin wax is good for a nice soft, smooth finish. I'm trying to get a finish that isn't too glossy but ...

Mind reading

Your opinion? What is everyone's opinion on mind reading? Assuming you think it's real, that is. Let's assume mind reading is real. What is your stance on this issue? Is there ever a good time or situation to use this? Wouldn't you think that no matter what situation it is, or who performs it, it is...

Re: How do I deal with a psychic vampire?

. [Note: the person quoted here is no longer a member of this board --K] Well, for starters, one big difference is that psychic vampires can not help what they are. For lack of better words, it is both a medical and spiritual condition, wherein vampires lack the capacity to produce the amount of ene...

Re: How do I deal with a psychic vampire?

[Note: the person quoted here is no longer a member of this board --K] Alright, I really have to clear up something here... Psy vamps ARE NOT generally a dangerous or hurtful type of person. Yes, they're real, yes, they feed off mental or psy energy, but NO, they are not "out to get you"....

Re: In loving memory of Bailey my dog

So sorry for your loss, Melanie. If it makes you feel any better, I was *just* crying about a dog of mine (my "son", really) that I had to put down a couple of years ago. Almost looks like your Bailey, too (my baby was a Maltese mix of sorts). He was such a good boy just like your Bailey. ...

Re: American Horror Story Coven reaction.

As far as a TV story goes, I'm actually quite interested in AHS: Coven. The underlying themes of misogyny and racism in witchcraft is an interesting twist, as well as the entire voodoo priestesses vs. salem witches thing. I also enjoy how the witches are not all painted to be evil or good. Each one ...

Re: Phantom Smells

Hey you! I think I will call you the " insect whisperer" ! or "she who speaks to the creepy crawlies" or maybe " peace walker amongst the bugs" Hey, firebirdflys-- today I had a grasshopper appear in my car out of nowhere. I took him out to a tree and he saw it a...

Re: Phantom Smells

I could see why hearing certain sounds like that could possibly be unsettling for you. I have had experience with someone who had paranoid schizophrenia and he would say some scary things about aliens and microchips. It was extremely hard to have a friendship with him because one minute he would be...

Re: Phantom Smells

Hmmm, rarely. Last time I thought I smelled something was bacon... I spent the night at my mom and dad's house and in the morning I woke up smelling bacon and continued to smell it. When I left the room no one was cooking anything nor had cooked anything. Was a bit disappointed lol Now, I usually w...

Re: Phantom Smells

I smell things all the time that I've come to identify what they mean to me over the years. About 90% of the phantom smells is gardenias. That was my Mamaw's favorite. She committed suicide when I was 14. We had such a strong bond that I felt her die. When I smell the gardenias I know she's there. ...

Re: Phantom Smells

It's not uncommon for deceased loved ones to let us know they're there by a smell that meant something to them in life. Other then that, not sure what it could be... unless you live in an apartment complex! :D Hehe! Well I don't have anyone who has passed who baked bread. Nor has anyone passed rece...
