Here are the reasons you should not send forwarded emails
(chain letters):
1. Only 10-15 year old girls send forwards on. Everyone
will know you are a little girl if you send these out. And if you aren't a
little girl, everyone will think you are. Basically, only inexperienced
email users send forwards on. The rest of us know that it's junk mail and
we delete them.
2. The vast majority of forwarded emails are lies. They
tell you that you have to send this email to a certain number of people or
else something bad will happen. Or send it to such-and-such number of
people and something good will happen. All of that is total nonsense.
There is no way in the world for anyone to know who you have forwarded the
email to. It makes you look like a fool when you believe these lies and
send the email on to others. So be mature and delete them
3. You know all those email addresses that are in a
forwarded message? Sometimes hundreds of them. If a spammer gets a hold of
one of those forwarded messages, he can simply run an email extraction
program on it and automatically get 500 VALID and FREE email addresses
that he can use to send spam to. Please understand that you are giving
YOUR email address, as well as every single person's address in your
address book, plus ALL the people that received that email before you, to
spammers when you forward on emails without first deleting all the extra
email addresses from it and using the BCC field to put your friends'
addresses into.
