These plaques were on the wall in the theatre room where we watched a play
about the witch trials. Obviously, we did not get pictures of plaques 1-4,
so I'm starting with number five. There are a couple of others missing as
well, but you will get the idea of what happened. The plaques tell
interesting stories of what happened to many people during the witch
trials. You do not have to read the pictures. I have transcribed them
below each picture.
Hideous Pranks - 5The girls screeched, swooned, rolled on the
courtroom floor, and sputtered incoherent phrases. "You speak angrily to
people and cause their cows to die. You tried to make me sign the devil's
book," they shouted into the faces of the accused. They would double up in
convulsions, shout blasphemies and throw things. Their hideous pranks cost
23 people their lives. |
