If you lived in Salem in 1692, more than
likely you would have been accused of witchcraft. Many Salem children and
adults, to share in the attention gained by the original nine girls, began
condemning others. Some did it for sport, others because of grudges
against neighbors. By late in the year, almost everyone in Salem suspected
someone else of being a witch. |
