Kasara
Kasara = Que sera (kay sir-a)
"Que sera sera"
Spanish translation, "Whatever will be, will be"
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam "Lost in Emotion" (partial)
lyrics:
Lost in emotion
Telling you things
you really shouldn't know
Oh baby, I'm lost in emotion
Am I fool at least my friends think so
Que sera Que Sera
Baby, whatever will be,
que sera que sera
Between you and me
It never occurred to me until I actually watched the
video just now. Lisa Lisa held up her hands like "What gives?" when she
said it. I realized then that it wasn't her friend's name like I
originally thought, it was a question in another language.
(Note to others: This is about my former niece-in-law,
Kasara, who was named after the line in the Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam song,
"Lost in Emotion".)
Remember the old Doris Day song, "Que
Sera, Sera (Whatever will be, will be)"? It's like that except
Lisa Lisa
added an extra "Que" to it. She's trying to say, "Whatever will be?
Whatever will be?" I'm assuming she's asking a question about the
relationship. Ask someone old about that song and they'll sing it to you.
Despite the song title giving people the impression that
you can't control the things that happen in life, anyone reading this
needs to understand that not only do you control what happens, but you are
actually creating it yourself. It sounds outrageous until you study it and
understand how it works.
You can literally create anything you want in this life,
including plenty of money if that's what you desire. But it's more
difficult to get there and stay there if you spend your time around
negative people because their energy will bring you down. You know the
type... the "victims" in life. They think everything that happens is
someone else's fault. They spend a great deal of effort blaming other
people and circumstances for things that happen in their life.
Control your thoughts and you control your life.
Do not sit around dwelling on bad or stressful things.
Do not fantasize about negative, violent situations.
You attract what you think about, whether it's good or
bad, whether you actually want it or not.
I hope you and your baby are doing well. Same goes for
Lasondra.
