Not necessarily ignorant, no. Not polite, mind you, but no where in Wicca is there a rule that you have to be polite.

A male Wiccan would be a Wiccan, although if you go back historically, a female practitioner of Wicca (or in some traditions, Wica) would be a Wicce and a male practitioner of Wicca (Wica) would be a Wicca.

Just a bit of a caveat...be careful using peppermint (or any mint for that matter) in blends that will likely come into contact with sensitive membranes. Depending on the strength of the mint used, it can be rather...er... surprising.

I'm with Elem on this. Sounds too fictional, and nothing at all to do with witchcraft, which is where my decade and change of experience is at. But some practical advice, you're going to be judged in life by the people you hang out with. If you're hanging out with a criminal, then you're going to be...

Actually I think (gods, I hope and pray) that witchcraft as a pop culture movement has reached its peak and will be on the decline. I think that a lot of people took interest in it for reasons other than service and spiritual development, and eventually those folks will get bored when they realize t...

Any surface that can have some variation in light/dark, textures, etc. can be used for scrying. Computer screens on a randomized screen saver or television on static can be used very effecitvely. If you're curious about more ideas like that, I highly recommend Chris Penczak's book "City Magick....

I've watched quite a few kids being raised in a coven setting, and found that honesty does seem to be the best policy with them. When my boyfriend and I finally do settle down enough to start a family, our kids will be active in the age appopriate coven activities. In addition, I feel that children ...

As rough as it sounds, the old addage of "as long as you live under my roof, you must obey my rules" does apply. They are your parents, and in the end, they do want what is best for you. Because they are providing you with what you need to survive, it is in your best interest to do what th...

It's possible to link your life situations to the mating habits of formosan termites in Des Moines, IA. That doesn't mean that termites have anything to do with what's going on in your life. Plain and simple, if you start looking for correlations between two things, you'll find enough proof to convi...

I am fairly familiar with the calling down of the moon, even though the technique seems to change from place to place, I was lead to believe it involves both a priest and priestess both of which symbolically connect. Usually with the use of a ritual knife being thrust into a chalice. I think you're...

Sure thing.... I'm a petitioner to a CTW coven. I've been studying with them for about 3 years now, and hope someday to be eligible for initiation. (Like many other traditional covens, initiation isn't a guarantee...there are some people who have been studying with this particular coven for more tha...

I'm curious how many individuals here who are talking about what a coven is, does, and believes have actually studied with a coven. Almost everything that I've read in this thread runs counter to what I've learned studying with a coven and for the decade and change as a solitary practitioner. I'm ju...

If a spell is cast and the person performing the working has faith in it, it will work every single time. Now, whether or not the outcome is what the person desired is something entirely different...but once you put that energy into motion, it does what it should, whether or not it is what you actua...

Sometimes in love you have to take a risk.... just go up to him and say hi. Give him some "extra cookies" that you "just happened" to bake. Have a jar that you can't open and ask if he could open it for you so that you can get a couple minutes with him to talk. There's lots of wa...
