Re: Depression help?
Hey guys. For some reason lately I've been getting more and more depressed. Even things I like to do to stay calm and happy aren't working as well. It's not anything severe really, but I feel very lazy, and just have a constant aura of sadness over me. I only thought of two possible sources that it...

Re: Need Help Removing Spell on Son
Whoa there....magic isn't going to solve this. It sounds like some serious counseling and help with anger management is required. Sorry, but no one is powerful enough to completely change someone else's personality as you describe. This is a dangerous situation that you're talking about here. Your s...

Re: what's your opinion or idea?
So I live in Hawaii. And as a witch, its pretty difficult because I don't see the earth go through its changes. I don't get to see trees and plants die during the winter, and then reborn again during spring. But then again that also means that the place I live in is always alive. I can't move eithe...

This has been my take for a long while. Pairing or 'wedding' the local Goddess seems to be a way to ensure acceptance of a new/male Deity. I was thinking of the simple adding him to the pantheon, not the idea of usurping Hera's place. Plenty of gods introduced successfully with no female pairing- c...

If Persephone was really raped then she would be as Hera, a goddess that was raped and married the guy that raped her so that she wouldn't be left in shame Hera also was not raped- in either sense of the word. Unless you consider being seduced to be raped. None of the ancient versions of the story-...

Kore/Persephone was a rape in probably both senses of the word - sexual and kidnapping. [heh - he didn't take her so she'd make him waffles.... :) ] If this story involved a rape of the sexual assault variety, why would they not include it? I'm sure you've read other Greek mythology, and have notic...

huh?? We've read vastly different accounts. It's amazing how differently our paths have diverged. From my reading, not just personal take, there was an almost world-wide respect [focus] on the divine feminine when our tribes/fore-bearers were tied to the land and were considerably less martial.Godd...

Perhaps it is just obvious to me in my relationship with her? I'll have to spend some time with her to find this out. Thank you, you've opened up a new dialog when I was foundering on how to approach her. :-) It has to be more than just me as there are pagans the world over who assign her that role...

Obv. pinning feast days to the current calendar is more helpful to the modern witch. Personal preference. I'm more than aware that we use a solar calender now and previously it was lunar based as my patron Deity is Selene. Being Eclectic, I worship my Goddess[es] when/however I am moved and am able...

I don't believe I ever suggested Hera derived her power from Zeus. In none of my reading was it suggested that in the hazy time of Goddess worship in the Pre-Hellenic days did Hera need/want/have a male counterpart at all. I was making the case that Zeus' association came much later and that it was...

Re: Question..
Whats a good Goodess or God? To pray and give thanks to? I'm just wondering. >> Do you think any one in particular has blessed you? Is there something in particular that you want to give thanks for or pray for? Many thousands of deities out there, knowing nothing about you, I wouldn't even know who...

Re: Does anyone worship Selene?
If you are looking into ancient festival days of the goddesses, you will find that Hecate is actually a virgin goddess, she was never a crone to the Greeks. Also, Artemis had lunar connections, but was never goddess of the moon. I don't believe that Selene had any actual festival days. Feast Days: ...
