The pot turned out just fine from what my mother said. She said she liked the way the plant looked and then her two brothers took it when it was big enough, cut it and stuck it in the microwave....lol lol, drying pot is where I've seen this used too, and oddly enough, it was my mother who was dryin...

I think this one may be better for older children and adults, but it does have a great beat, my four year old requests it even though she doesn't understand the story. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/y_zhZeRNfSg&...

This should be a sticky! Great information. I remember an online pamphlet along these lines from an old MSN group but haven't been able to find it in years.

Songs and Chants for Pagan Children

My kids all really love music and I've found some pretty great songs on youtube, I don't agree with every line of all of them. I'm going to try posting this one and if it works I'll add more, if it doesn't I'll come back and add them through links. <object width="425" height="344"...

You could always use the oven to dry your sage by placing it on a cookie sheet and setting the oven to 325 or the microwave(Don't ask, my mother told me her brother's once tried one of her plants in the microwave so it works). It does work but it also cooks your herbs to some extent and wreaks havo...

Dark is good but not required, sunlight saps some of the potency of the herb. I believe that it effects the oil content but don't quote me as I can't remember for sure. As long as it is in a relatively dim space it should be just fine to use as a smudge.

You're very welcome Shadowx. I collect wild buffalo sage in the fall and dry it for smudging every year. I also dry garden sage and other herbs for cooking, the dark corner of my living room is always full of drying herbs around the end of summer.

The easiest are spid...

Tie it in bundles, not too thick or it will dry poorly in the center and hand it upside down out of direct sunlight until it is completely dry.

I would try burying it in the ground for a time Greek. 3 days to a week should do it. If you have access to a natural source of gently running water you could leave it in the water for a few days too.

How long have you been a witch? About 12 years. How did you decide that Wicca was your calling? It felt right to me, I've since dropped the label Wiccan from myself and prefer to be called Pagan as some of the Wiccan laws just don't ring true to me for example the rede. What intrigued you about the ...

Nothing to be sorry about, it is a common term here too. Fairly wide spread but not known to all.
