Re: Earthquake

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Maps display earthquake ground motions for various probability levels across the United States. Here is one which shows why you felt a quake in your state. Here is a link to the image http://bp3.blogger.com/_Lj5KP8OgZVk/R73EwTQTRhI/AAAAAAAABQ...

Re: Are Crystals happy to be mined?

Crystals such as these in the Giant Crystal Caves are highly protected and need special authorisation to even film them. These probably took most of earths lifespan to grow under ground without human contaninants to destroy them. http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/episode/giant-crystal-cave-3569/...

Re: Canines

Foxes gravitate towards me, I don't know why but they always have even backhome in the UK. I even started to foster Fennec foxes and Redtail foxes a few years ago which I then rehome. I've had two wild redtail foxes come to me in my own backyard, one was injured and the other was seriously under fed...

You could also try taking Melatonin which is the natural chemical your body makes to cause you to sleep. (If your physician says it won't interfere with your normal meds). Try a 5mg for start, the next stronger dose is 10mg.

Quotes to think on

I've noticed much discord around lately and I wish to offer a few of my favorite quotes in hopes they will bring comfort and self reliance and strength to those they need them. "That magnificent escape from anguish and ignorance--never happens by accident. It results from the brave and sometime...

Re: Goddess Nyx.

Here's some stuff I found on her doing a search. Hope it helps. Personally I've known most deities to have two sides, a dark and a light they are never one or the other. NYX was the ancient personification of night and one of the PROTOGENOI (primeval gods). She rode across the sky in a two horse cha...

Re: getting over a death

I whole heartedly agree with Power on this and then if I may add another perspective on life and death? It is something I posted here a while ago and you may find some comfort or even just food for thought on you healing process.

Re: Being Gay

To the OP: Take your time, when you're in school everything is still new especially once you've figured out your sexuality. From experience I can tell you being gay in school is tough but it is also no big deal considering it's just school and not the real world. The real thing is out there in the r...

Re: A Spell Against the "Strong"?

I'll add one thing more just as a suggestion but I also like the thought of a sort of universal prayer. Then again I hear all of this all the time (all talk and no action as they say, no offense to anyone we all have our faults, I sure do). Spells, prayer and religious aspirations aside in these iss...

Re: How to make runes?

Here is the simple way to explain: Runes are for divination and are similar to using a pendulum, tarot cards or scrying. Runes are usually based on viking (Norse) symbols. There are threads on here about them. As for creating some, runes are generally smooth round flat stones with the symbols carved...

Re: paganism and Birth Control

IMO, pregnancy has nothing to do with religious dogma of any kind unless you chose it to be. I choose never to have children and that choice also has to do with my personal lifestyle choices and no baring on my spiritual standpoints. Unless you are part of a major world religion (mostly the mono-the...
