Re: Fostering Children's Spirituality
Thanks for the advice all. It's exactly what I was looking for, because, as I said, I really don't want to be too heavy handed, as that is clearly neither appropriate nor helpful. When she brings these things up, I strive to engage her, but not prompt her, if that makes sense. (Whether or not I succ...

Re: Fostering Children's Spirituality
I always heard that for children, the best thing you can do is to introduce them to the occult through the stories and lore. So maybe a good way to develop her 'innate spirituality' is by taking her to a bookstore with a healthy variety of occult fantasy literature, and letting her pick which ones ...

Fostering Children's Spirituality
This is a pretty open-ended question about fostering a child's innate spirituality. I have a three-year-old daughter, and she often talks about spiritual topics and/or supernatural contact - completely nonchalantly, as if it were completely "normal"... as small children are prone to do. An...

There's currently another fundraiser going on indiegogo to help raise the money for the project:

Re: Midsummer at Stonehenge!
Oh, I actually ended up not going; due to a commitment I had to be back from my trip before the Solstice. Greece and Turkey were amazing though. Going to stonehenge for the solstice is still on my bucket list, so we'll see what the future holds.

Re: Leto/Latona
Thanks Siona, that's really helpful.
To go a little bit off topic for a moment: I've been wanting to get a copy of the Orphic Hymns. Are any of the translations better than others?

Leto/Latona
Ok, so... I recently (a couple months ago) moved into a new house; this house is probably going to be a pretty permanent location for my family and me, as it was purchased rather than rented. :D So far I've done some preliminary space clearing and such, and am beginning to make friends with the loca...

Re: Far Right Paganism
I haven't visited Everything Under the Moon in a long while, and to my delight, there's fresh activity on this thread? The gods are too generous! Here's some libel for you, Lydia: it seems pretty obvious that in this conversation, you're essentially acting as an apologist for racialist fascism. Whet...

Re: Far Right Paganism
Capitalism can disappear yet there would still be classes. Societies such as the ancient Vedic civilization had its varnas – priests, warriors/rulers, merchants, and servants – and according to the Rig Veda they came into existence with the primordial sacrifice of the Cosmic Being by the Devas. So ...

Re: Far Right Paganism
I have an honest question for you. Who maintains and enforces this radical equality in your ideal society? I advocate the ownership of the means of production by the whole of humanity, a society in which there is no class. In such a society, there would be no need to "enforce" equality, b...

Re: Far Right Paganism
The author(s) warn readers against far right Paganism yet G & R is the opposite of far right, viz. , far left. At least one of their founders publicly identifies as a Marxist. I think there's a big difference between an ideology (fascism) that promotes inequality and openly embraces the idea of...

I thought I'd share this article about confronting far right/fascist tendencies within Paganism/Witchcraft/the Occult.

Re: Today I am Grateful For...
To-day I am particularly grateful for a powerful ceremony a shamanic practitioner I know performed on me last night. It entailed a depossession and soul-retrieval, and I am still strongly feeling its effects. I am also thankful to-day for having found a co-op here in Seattle that sells a brand of ko...
