Yes that would be quite a shocker, but funny at the same time.Kassandra wrote:Haha, wouldn't it be ironic if she's been a witch this whole time herself. What a hearty laugh you would both have.

Re: Not Sure How My Spouse Would React to My Pagan Path
As Vendredi and blue_moon, my situation is also unique, but I have to agree with you on refusing to make anyone know about it, it's fine! Most people don't even notice these changes... that is, if you don't scream "Yes, I'm a witch, deal with it!" like I did. If your relationship w...

Re: Not Sure How My Spouse Would React to My Pagan Path
You can still tell here you researched out of interest - I don't tell my husband every time I start looking into something - and he doesn't tell me. But when we do have our things and interests sorted out we do. In our individual way. . I guess this would be a good way to handle it, thanks for your...

Re: Not Sure How My Spouse Would React to My Pagan Path
So here's what I think. You and your wife have a communication style that (ideally) works really well for the two of you. What is it? Well, go with that. (She probably has noticed that you're spending a lot of time doing something, and probably can feel that you've been changing somehow. Wives typi...

Not Sure How My Spouse Would React to My Pagan Path
If not an impasse, it’s definitely a bump in the road. I’ve been reading, writing and studying as much as I have time to do. I’ve been learning more and more. With this knowledge some things have become clear; 1) I have much, much more to learn, 2) I know this feeling of being drawn to this way of l...

Looking for a good Tarot book or two
I'm looking for a beginner to tarot book. I have The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A. E. Waite. I do not know if it is just me or what but I do not find it very easy to follow. So I'm looking for something that is a bit more basic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Combining elemental and candle magic
Meditation is a key component if you are newer to working. You MUST meditate and clear your mind of EVERYTHING other than the intent you work. If not, anxieties and questions will come into play .You will foul yourself. Keep things simple. Be patient. You won't be calling higher level entities this...

Re: Combining elemental and candle magic
Gosh I am exactly the same: a little scared, if I'm honest, of actually doing something in case I cause "harm" :) I think we need to step back not over analyse QUITE so much, eh? But it's very scary, I totally agree. I'm also working on my meditation and focus first... then I will try som...

Re: Combining elemental and candle magic
Thanks for the replies. Both of you stressed the intent factor. Yes I do want to be careful to consider my intent and any possible results, whether good or not so good. Example; if my intent is to increase customers in a business endeavor and the result is that the increase is so great that I'm over...

Combining elemental and candle magic
I’m really enjoying seeking and learning. I have yet to perform any type of ritual/spell/magic/etc. I have however been preparing and planning. I feel drawn towards elemental and candle magic. The more I look into these the more I feel they resonate with me. I guess my question would be is it possib...

In the midst of understanding As I am beginning this new way I am finding new a joy each day As I feel the wind blow about me I realize this is the only element I cannot see As I feel the warmth and see it’s light I am given vision into the night As I feel it flows around and through I know this to...

Re: What isn't Wicca
So many people follow the cycle of the year, have annual celebrations on any of the eight holidays, utilize elements, believe in a Goddess and a God or a greater pantheon etc... That's what I don't get. Why are some so opposed to the word? I don't even get why I don't like it. I'm probably opposed ...
