Starting a Yoga Practice

I was thinking about starting a yoga practice recently, but I honestly don't know to go about it. I'm not keen on the idea of going to a yoga class, especially since there are none that I know of near the small town I live in. http://www.yogajournal.com has been helpful to read, but I thought I'd ge...

Re: Rant/parents/mental health misinformation

I find it hard to fault Christians who get so passionate about trying to "save" their family members and friends. Honestly, I do too. I tend to cut a lot of people slack for things they say because they're trying to help and they're intentions are right. I think I'm mostly frustrated at h...

Rant/parents/mental health misinformation

I never told my mom that I'm pagan, or I practice witchcraft. She knows (and so does my father) that I don't believe in the Christian god. They're both still and denial and when I told my dad he legit started crying (it made me feel bad but it's really not something that I'm going to change). Recent...

Re: Attending a Christian school. Bible class.

Aha I know exactly how you feel. I used to attend a Catholic school and although I definitely believed in Christianity then, (I was hardcore man) I don't now and I'm bored to death during Wednesday night religious education classes. I guess I've just learned to deal with it. Let people believe that ...

Re: Marijuana and Wiccans

Drugs are created/cut in a lab somewhere to provide feelings for their users. Marijuana grows outside in everyone's backyard if they had the seeds. The legal definition of a drug is "A chemical or organic substance used to treat a medical or psychological condition; such a substance used illeg...

Pagans and Witches of Instagram

I was wondering if anyone has any Instagram pages they would want people to check out. If so, reply to the thread! I know that there's a pretty good community there (which I am part of) and I'd love to hear more about people's daily practices :flyingwitch: My username is wildspirit.pagan Feel free t...

Re: Having trouble connecting with a god

I would actively go find a masculine deity if you want to work with a god. Just know that if you happen to have a strong connection to a goddess, it doesn't invalidate your masculinity. If Gaia is trying to contact you, respond. It's a relationship worth acknowledging for sure.

Re: How do you feel about Autumn?

Autumn is so beautiful smileylove It's a good idea to turn to the earth, and notice how it acts in the changing of the seasons. (Northern Hemisphere stuff below.) Leaves turn bright colors and eventually are brown as the fall to the ground. Trees become bare and the air becomes colder, causing more ...

Re: Over Genderization in Wicca?

It's always bothered me as well to be honest. I'm not Wiccan, but there's so much Wicca stuff whenever you search for witchcraft. I always find the emphasis on gender problematic, but since I don't focus on the balance of male and female (the binaryyy! It burrnnss!) I just ignore most of the emphasi...

Re: Should I believe in god and goddess if I want to be a wi

There are many secular witches! You don't have to believe in anything but witchcraft to be a witch, and you don't even have to believe in all of it. There are witches who don't believe there's magick in crystals or tarot, but they still practice a form of witchcraft. Wiccans are witches, but witches...

Re: What crystal or gemstone are you carrying/wearing today?

I nearly always have green jasper in my pocket, but rose quartz has been there instead a lot lately.
