Hello all! I had a candle burning and the tip of the wick looked like a flower. When I snuffed the candle out the wick looked like a cross. Any insight would be appreciated

Hello all, during a spell the candle produced black smoke then went out and took a while to relight. When it finally lit the smoke went grey then white and the flame was strong. I need help interpreting please.
