Element Representations

Post by Seaspirit »

Hi All,

I have looked through the posts and have not found the elements and what represents them. I may have overlooked this somewhere in the posts.

I'm wondering what represents all the elements .... for example, rocks would represent the element earth, shells would represent the element water, feathers represent the element of air, ect....

I'm sure there is a post somewhere here about this, if not, would be good to know.

Thanx all

leaves, crystals, sand, salt, twigs, and stones may represent earth.
Water and coral represent water.
incense and feathers represent air.
and candles represent fire.

also seashells for water!! river pebbles too
and sand for earth!
when performing outdoors and you want to call the elements to form a circle you dont need a representative of each element since they are all around you. instead draw a circle on the ground with a stick (in case you need one)

Ah..thanks Witch13

I have not used element representations when preforming spells, but rather was not sure that I was aware of them all.

I did not know that candles represented fire

the ocean water, the forrest earth, the desert fire and mountains air.

A friend of mine has the luck of having a ritual room and she painted murals on each wall to look like the above.

JBRaven...interesting about the mountains representing Air. I am going up to the mountains in a couple of weeks, and feel the need to connect more to Air (it's the element I feel least bonded with, and I am an Air sign!). I will use this experience up in the mountain to strengthen my bond with Air and draw Air energy.

I'm happy with the direction this thread is evolving. I originally asked this question because I felt the need to be more aware of the elements around me and recognize them more in every day life, thus drawing energy from them during the day.

Just great

Above is the symbol of fire.
Correspondences to Fire: South, Wand, Red, Salamanders and the Notus.
Notus is the south wind, there is a wind for each element, tool, creature and diety for them .
I've illustrated and listed these quite well on my page here..... [removed]
