Fog

Post by phoenixfiress »

Cool droplets of
fancy brush
livened skin.

Tingles of buds
race up a body's pale
surface to meet
the velvet gray.

Inhale the cleansing
dew on virgin grass.

Inside this muffled womb
all assaulting sound
dwindles to the
light-throated
sparrow's call.

Until a harsh west
wind blows the fog
to wispy drifts,
unable to conceal
stripped trees
and moments bare.
