Black Mirror

Anyone have experience using one? Any advice, tips, warnings etc?

I know how to make one but not the actual mechanics of using one.
I was curious myself to know if there's a specific technique or angle to hold it at etc?

From what I've heard, you place it on a wall with a small shelf under neath. You light a white candle on the right side, and a black on the left. There should be incense burning on either side. And you just zone out on the mirror. You should see images after a while of being in trance state.

iPad as scrying mirror?

ok so I was cleaning the glass for my black mirror I was going to make,and decided to clean the surface of my iPad while i was at it.
I also use my iPad as my book of shadows these days as find it far easier to add new info and edit that way,plus it's self lit so during spell work in the dark I can see what I am doing regardless of weather I've lit the candles yet or not.

but it got me thinking,the iPad when it's off is a perfect smooth glossy black surface,good size and I can see myself in reflected in it's surface.
do you think it would offend sensibilities to use an iPad as a scrying mirror?
