Hey everyone one of the things I want to do for Imbolc is to make some scented oils. I'm pretty sure I read that you can simmer dried herbs in oil on the stove? Is this right? Because all of my herbs are dried and I don't really want to soak them in the oil for two-three weeks. Thank you

you need to infuse very slowly, use a double boiler, have the fire extinguisher ready. Dry herbs will work. Sounds like fun Ray. I love making witchy stuff.

OOOooo... details...how did you end up making it? And what did you use as a base oil, and how much did it yield? Did you bottle it? I have never tried to make an infused oil, but we have made salves and balms with the herbs. I was thinking about steeping herbs in the wax I will use to make Imbolc candles....

I simmered the dried lavender in olive oil. I bottled it. So lightly scented and relaxing...I love it! Perfect to make you fall asleep. I used it to make bath salts too. And I think putting herbs in wax would be nice. I sometimes line the bases of candles with herbs. Oh and Firebird...I messaged you about something and I really need your help on that..
