Aconite/Monkshood/Wolfsbane

Post by miachrhys »

Greetings everyone.

I had a quick question and thought this would be the perfect place to put it out there. I've done some reading about Wolfsbane, AKA Aconite and Monkshood. The information I can find it scarce and most state that it is a protective herb and can be used in athame purification rituals. My question is: What else can I use it for?

I know it is poisonous and should not be ingested. I wonder if burning it within an incense (outside, of course) would be a great use? I'm not to afraid of vampires or werewolves beating down my door anytime soon so I'm trying to figure out uses that aren't rooted in the mythologies of those two creatures. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks,

Miach Rhys

I wouldn't put it in incense, but it could be used to stuff a poppet, ...and it makes lovely floral arrangements, we occasionally get it in the shop. A vase on the Altar will protect your circle. BB, Firebird

firebirdflys, thank you for your suggestions. After more of my own research I've come to agree that incense is a bad idea. Sachets may be the best option, in addition to burying it near the access points of my home to protect them.

I wonder if it would be any use in the coming Zombie Apocolypse? ;)
