The first book on Palmistry I read was Richard Webster's "Palm reading for Beginners"
I really liked this book. It contained a-lot of diagrams and really went into detail.

I found an encyclopedia of palmistry by Rhoda (no last name), when I got mine
it was a bit pricey but worth it !
