Performing my first ritual tonight!

Post by Clairsentient_Wolf »

Wish me luck or in our case, please pray to the God and Goddess for my success in this endeavor I am about to pursue and perform.

If anyone's asking, it's a banishment ritual. Nothing dark about it, just a personal thing rather.

Wise men wait for their foes to destroy themselves.

Well I performed the ritual and this is how I did it:

I took 3 candles, all of them the same; no scent, just medium height and a creamy color (the color doesn't matter to me anyway) and put them in a triangular formation around me. I turned out all the lights in the room, closed the blinds and drapes and then I lit them.

Placed an incense burner in front of the candle in front of me and lit a Dragon's Blood scented stick.

I took 3 things that reminded me of this person and placed them in front of each candle. I wrote my own banishment prayer and read it out loud to the God and Goddess (in my opinion, she is called Mother Nature).

I needed herbs so I picked some salvia in my back yard because of the funky smell. I wanted the smell to be funky or bad to help further repel this person by helping them associate me with a weird smell or sensation. I took 3 sprigs of the salvia and placed them on top of each of the 3 items that reminded me of this person.

Once I recited the prayer, I took the salvia and rotated it over the flame of the candle (at each candle one by one) until they were dried and sizzled. I chanted a small blessing as I did this and then meditated for about 30 seconds before ending the ritual. I was nervous but it went well. Definitely will do it again - I had a reading done today and this person was brought into the picture with a neutral light (in a weird way) and I also had a friend contact me earlier tonight talking about this person and that they agreed with me that this person was someone hat nobody really enjoyed.

Significant because I have never heard anyone who also knows this person approach me in a singular manner to say that. So, ritual success? We will see in the coming week.

Interesting... I think you're on the right road to becoming a powerful witch; using your imagination and your own preferences, rather than using a grimoire as a cookbook, is a great approach.

I shall be tracking your progress with interest. :)

[EDIT: Altered to better convey my tone.]

Many thanks, your Highness. I appreciate your encouragement towards me becoming a great witch. I will post the prayer that I wrote myself in the Prayers Board if anyone is interested.

"Your highness?!"

Haha, that's like a microwave in a toilet - it's just not right!

If you want a nickname for me, then something like "Impy" might work; or you could use a real name like "Bobby", "Steve" or "Mikey". I'm even comfortable with "douche", "arse-face" or "that-pretentious-muthafugga".

I don't want to read your prayer, however. Keep it a secret - it's yours and only yours... Forever.

Keep it that way. :)

Haha you know I was just messing around with you anyway. Yeah the whole microwave in the toilet - never heard that before. On another note, "it's like wiping before you poop, it don't make no sense" - now that one is the one I like.

Tyrion, you say?

Prince of Ulthuan, or Fordring?

I think the first version of it I heard was this:

"It's like an elevator in an outhouse - it don't belong".

Does that mean that henceforth, I shall be known as "arse-face"?

I mean, I'm cool with it and all, I just need to know that you're talking to me.

Aaaaaaah. Of course.

My failure to think laterally last night after a heavy bout of Daredevil shames my ancestors.

And now my watch has ended.

I suppose I shouldn't have bought such a cheap one.

Lol. That's ok, cohesive thought is overrated in most situations. ^^
