Ok, not sure how well you can see what's going on in that picture, i saw it in a book and my phone camera isn't great. But those orange spots are people, full grown adult men. They're all selenite crystals and are absolutely huge, the largest being "12 m (39 ft) in length, 4 m (13 ft) in diameter, and 55 tons in weight."

And after reading about it, and selenite, i'm dead certain that cave is or at least was a communication hub. Heck, maybe even a meeting place for spirits, or something more powerful.

"Selenite is a stone of mental clarity. This clarity enhances mental flexibility and enables strong decision making abilities."
"Selenite is also a stone of truth and honesty. This promotes good business practices as well as honesty in other types of relationships."
"Though Selenite is associated with the moon, it is also a sweet angel stone. It is used for contacting and communicating with angels for guidance. It can also be used for finding and working with other spirit guides."
"Meditations become sparkling clear over time when working with selenite and it brings a clarity to your spiritual understanding of the universe and your place in it."

Though by this point the caves are inaccessible, due to the place being flooded again. This was done voluntarily by those working in the Naica Project, who wanted to protect the place and prevent the lowering temperature/humidity from damaging the crystals. I am very very proud of everyone working on that project, deciding to preserve the place instead of using it for tourism.

Basically i'm just super excited about this place, and i wanted to tell all of you about it. There are a few pieces of selenite from there hanging around on the internet, for sale by people who bought their crystals from the place before it shut down. I'm thinking of getting one, i am just so in love with it, and i hope i'll be able to use it properly.

Anyone else think this is as cool as i do?

I heard the temperature is real hot in there.
Here are some more on those giant crystals.

I am not sure if I am as ecstatic about it as you are but I do find it cool/fascinating for sure. Would be very interesting to feel the energies within the cave.

I bet anything from that cave will cost a fortune...

I like the definition to Selenite. I think I would like to have a few of them around my room.

Thanks for Sharing :)

Gee I love all those photos. I can imagine quite a lot...and I'm always happy to learn when these sites are protected. Selenite is a happy, uplifting stone.
