A song for the departed

Post by Firebird »

]Have become quite enamored with this series, Poldark. The setting and scenery is great, as well as the story line.
A song was sung that struck me. It apparently was derived from a Christian verse, but modified for the show and is original.
In the episode Demelza's brother was killed when Poldark and crew went to rescue the doctor. Demelza starts the song then the scene zooms onto a very remorseful Ross Poldark.
Thought a funeral scene would be fitting of the Samhain season. Time holds the flame of all souls.
Blessed be those who have gone before,
