does it bother anyone else to hear/read people say that they "use" gods, in ritual, for speciufic purposes etc?

depends on the person but sometimes it seems like just a bad choice of wording on the part of the person, sometimes it seems like they mean "use" in the same sense as "using" people.

Some people see other entities as tools rather than actual beings. We all have our own beliefs so don't let it offend you. Caring too much about everyone else isn't always the best thing. I've spent a good time of my life caring about others rather than focusing on my own life.

Similar to how we use a knife or a microwave, right Epothes? Not exactly an exploitation of sorts, which is the way I'm viewing the second way of "using" a person.
