I saw that article recently on Yahoo! and I sent it to my friend/boss. She loved it (is owned by 5 cats) of course and we sent it around our work. Cat's are definitely manipulators, but not really in a bad way. It's really interesting also to look into the history of domesticated cats. Some cultures revered them, others utterly feared them (Egyptians felt they were linked to gods but some European cultures feared them, especially black cats, saying they were linked to demons).
