Part of the problem...
Actually the main problem , pertaining to this , is :
1. People are so indoctrinated into *quick* answers these days ,
in small *sound bites* like tweets...they expect , and demand
simplicity , or they will not put time into follow through...
This is most often not possible , and never has been for true
advanced magic(k)al training...believe me , I have tried , and
still am , here on this site , and others...
Study and practice , are necessary ingredients , as well personal
contact gives a teacher information about a "student" , verbally
and body language...in the past , I have offered some on the web
to call me...some have , and I was able to give them some answers
after I found out more about their practices , and levels of attainment...
Claims on the internet , can be *seen through* by voice inflection , and
modes of speech , on the phone...just saying what I have found...
2. Watching a student try things , again gives a teacher information needed
to help the student advance...talking through things on the net , is *never*
the same as one to one information exchange...
3. Do you realize just how much time , and energy , it takes to answer one
question , or post , after another , on multiple sites many of us teachers are
on , when we also have lives outside of cyberspace , let alone some like me ,
type with one finger , thus it takes "forever" to explain something in detail...
And then , we are rarely truly appreciated , and it is onto the next question or
post , by the student seeking a quick answer...so teachers give up , or suffer
cyber burnout , and sometimes disgust at the lack of appreciation , or follow through...
Just wanted / needed to help with an understanding for the "problem"...
From my perspective...
