UGH! I recently began a job at the hospital....And I walked into a convo that maybe I shouldn't have.....
These 2 ladies were talking about how someone in our office put holy oil onto someone's desk to remove that person from that position. Well, That turned into using holy oil wasn't a "christian thing", it's more of a "wiccan/ witchcraft/ pegan thing", and even if he used holy oil he shouldn't of prayed for that person to be removed. So I put my two cents in to educate them on what they were talking about. Big mistake!!! The conversation took another turn for the worse. They then began to bad mouth witchcraft/wiccan/pegans. SO the convo ended with that the person who placed the holy oil onto the desk isn't a christian; he's a witch. ( and mind you this person is a strong faithed christain) UGH!! The ignorance of people is jsut plain ignorant!!!
Just wanted to vent.....
Holy Oil and Gossip.....What do witches do?

Honestly, I would have laughed right through the conversation. Might be bad of me, but I can't take people seriously who are so severely misguided about Paganism and "witchcraft." I also realize that people like that do not want to be educated, and if we try, nothing will change. Yes, it sucks that they're so misguided, but they have their beliefs that they don't want anyone to change.
In the future, I'd just ignore it, and laugh to yourself later. Honestly...a Christian using holy water being a secret Pagan...it's funny.
