I don't cry for movies, but i know i will cry at the next Harry Potter movie.
Yes i know i prolly just got shunnned for mentioning that but i think JK Rowling is an incredible writer.
Oh, and i used to get really sad at those cottonelle commercials in the late 80's with the little white kittens roaming the house. I thought they were abandoned because there were no ppl around,.... Hey I WAS LIKE 5!!! lol, yeah, i'm a geek.

Yep that is very sad.Sercee wrote:American History X. Hands down.
But Sophie's Choice is sadder and then not forgeting Schindlers List!!!
My god - I think films that are based on true events are far more harowing when you know them to be true. I mean, we all know the holocaust was the most horrific abomination in the history of mankind - but to see such an excellent (that word doesn't seem right, but you know what I mean) portrayal of it!
Well! I have never cried so much at the injustice of it all.
PS
I only watched this film for the first time a week ago, even though it's been around a while.
The emotion is still very raw.
I know what you mean, hedgewitch. The only reason I can't agree with you is because even though it was so sad it was also very heartwarming because of the lengths that were taken to save people. And they were successful (as successful as they could possibly be given the situation).
In American History X the boy was just turning his life around when he was killed by the very cycle he nearly escaped.

For me Schindler's list is way up there, when I got done with that movie I was horrifyed and bawiling my eyes out, I couldn't even fathom what it must have been like. It's a beautiful life is another tear jerker, its in italian though, its about the holocaust. Hotel Rwanda made me cry, of course the Notebook, the book more than the movie though.
