I love older country, they are the best drinking songs. (Old Country and any Irish lead band.)
I have been buying all the Cure albums I can find right now.

You have some awesome taste in music, I mean the DK,Suicidal Tendencies , THe Misfits, And The Exploited. Where you into punk at one time?

There are quite a few good bands here. I don't really have any favorite artists, per se. I used to say that Live was my favorite band, but that was just in their Throwing Copper days. Now they've changed and so have I. However, I always get this warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I discover a band which is less well-known but strikes a cord with me. When I find it, I always want to share it with everyone. I'm sure it gets pretty annoying. Anyway, here are a few of my recent discoveries. I'm sure several of you have already heard of them.
Postal Service
Dresden Dolls
The Cranes
Of course, I'm primarily a rock girl at heart, but I'm starting to branch out a little. What I listen to really depends on my mood at the moment. I've been craving some Lisa Loeb for the last week or so. I'm not sure why. Next week I'll probably find myself longing for some hard core Justice for All, Metallica. There's no telling. It's really interesting to hear about everyone's individual tastes. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Phoneixfiress,
Lisa Loeb is so dramatically Piscean it makes sense why you want to hear her again. I like the Tails album but the second two were just not as good.
In answer to JBRAVEN above, yes I was into the punk stuff (and still listen to it from time to time--let me say the old stuff sure beats all this punk/pop predictable crap today), but I was a skater punk--we were different than the "druggie punks" and the "skinheads"! Skaters could traverse all the cliques and fit in anywhere. My first career choice was professional skateboarding, but after 3 broken wrists I had to give it up! I was one of those thrashers in the late 80's with the really long bangs (down to my chin) and short at the back. "Sun-in" was also a new product so we all had orangey-bleanch blonde streaks in our hair. I suppose that is why I am beginning to lose it now!! Oh well. At least I have the memories and the tunes! As Jim Morrison prophetically sang: "Music is your only friend, until the end!"
Here's a question for everyone:
If you were forced to give up a sense, like sight, sound, smell or touch, what would you choose?
I think I would choose sight, and hearing would be the last choice--I need my music!!! What about you?
