The myth tells the story of Hyacinth a beautiful young man and lover of the greek god Apollo (though he was also admired by West Wind, Zephyr). Apollo and Hyacinth took turns throwing the discus(imagine a metal frisbie, heavy). Hyacinth ran to catch it to impress Apollo, was struck by the discus as it fell to the ground, and died.
Apollo didn't allow Hades to claim the young man rather, he made a flower, the hyacinth, from his spilled blood. The tears of Apollo stained the newly formed flower's petals with "ai, ai", the moan of his grief..
(got this from wikipedia)

usefull parts: flowers and the bulb.
The flowers have a beautifull strong aroma which stays strong even when they are dried! Be carefull with the bulb, it can cause stomach problems when eaten.

Are there any spells that can be used with Hyacinth?

The story tells how hyacinth became a flower, and how it signifies the homosexual love!
If i were to do a romance spell for me (gay) or for another homosexual friend i would add a hyacinth bulb (the plant's root ) to give my spell the gay energy, and special purpose!
One could carve runes on the bulb to turn the plant part into a charm itself, be that for protection or healing..
