Wish I could find more...

Discussion for and about Christian witches and pagans. How do you merge your two belief systems? Please be kind to Christian witches. I have come to believe that it is a very valid belief system.

Wish I could find more...

I wish I could find more sites/ forums dedicated to christian witchcraft and discussions about our different backgrounds for those of us who come from a christian background/ lifestyle. There are so many questions and some of you echo my very own. Its almost like someone else posting my own thoughts and questions sometimes. In some ways I KNOW what I believe and in others I don't have a clue how to get to where i need to be! Does anyone out there know what I am talking about? Need it be so complicated- somehow I feel in my heart it SHOULD be very very simple once we begin to unravel the truths that have been so distorted and misrepresented to us in the name of 'christianity'.I still believe in the One, the Creator of all- God, I still believe in Jesus and the example he TRIED to leave us- I believe in the Holy Spirit (who I am beginning tio believe IS female- much to my releif!) BUT--- I also believe there IS such as majik and powers that are ours naturally, that come from that very Maker. I believe in good and evil, right and wrong........I sure would like to have more interaction with others who are like-minded....

I agree completely, one hundred percent, absolutely, etc. It's so, so frustrating.. We don't need others to justify our faiths, but that said, it's so.. comforting, I guess, to be able to go to like minded people and share experiences and troubles. For the most part, this website/subforum is good for that but there's still a few people here who would rather tell us how Christianity is wrong, evil, we're contradictions of ourselves, etc.

I got frustrated with that one day, tried to google Christian Witchcraft and found a whoooole mess of crazy conservative mean people on the other side of the spectrum--it's positively exhausting.

I am lucky in that my boyfriend who is going to seminary to be a pastor is completely accepting of my beliefs and supportive, even. He might make a terrible pastor by most 'Christian's' standards, but I absolutely adore him. I think that the name of Christianity needs more leaders like him, people that actually accept what God and Jesus taught instead of manipulating it to serve them best.

Sorry. Ranted. :X Point being: I'm here! I understand you! <3

I also completely agree. Even though I'm not what you would call a practicing catholic (I dont go to church) I still am not willing to give up the believe of God and Jesus...and especially Mary. I have always felt that the church was maybe too strict with the guild and what not.

TheBlackDahlia I completely understand being frustrated with the christianity is evil...I guess maybe I was just blessed with being taught growing up that God is tolorant but then again my mom was always more open minded then probably most

I was raised really liberally too. Daddy was spiritual, believed but certainly didn't go to church, Mom took my brother and I to church but it was a methodist church which preaches open hearts, open minds, open doors; everyone was accepted and loved, we even had a very prominent member that was undergoing surgery to become a woman for example. I was taught compassion, tolerance and understanding, regardless of someone's sexual orientation, color, beliefs, etc.

It's just so frustrating that one denomination can completely skew every view of us there is into looking evil.
