One of my pets is hated by the others......

I have recently acquired some degus (bit like large rats) whom I love very dearly. However my most recent degu has been rejected from the group as the other degus don't seem to like her at all and view her as an interloper. On a practical level I have done a great deal of research into how best to integrate the pets (swapping bedding between cages, giving them lavender sand baths so they smell the same etc.... I'm doing all I can...)

I just wondered if anyone has come across any magical ideas that I can use to support what I am already doing? Has anybody ever had to write a spell for a situation like this?
