Everything Under the Moon

I don't even know where to start, my kitchen is steeped with herbs and stuff. And I have no clue what type of potion I want it to be, or how it will work. How to make it work. Do you chant a spell or something? I'm new to this. I'd like to learn, and help would be nice. :"D So, my main question is: How do you create a potion? ^_^

Well as far as I know it is a distinct combination of herbs that can be drank as a tea, the herbs on their own can have medicinal effects but could also be infused with energies, some can be drank as a tea, others can be inhaled through steam. I wouldn't know that much about it, Unlike incenses and teas with potions it is usually the energy they are infused with that makes the difference.
