Must have kitchen herbs for simple ailments

Post by Tornadofire-Sylva »

I believe it is necessary to have the following spices, herbs, and plants in the kitchen:
-Garlic (whole) Antiseptic
- Whole peppercorns (Grinding up, and placing police on sore muscles )
-Ginger (Whole roots) Energy, Improved circulation, toothache, Antiseptic, (ack, could someone rwfresh me on the difference between antiseptic and astringent?) Tsking edge off of hunger, foul taste in mouth( removes)
vitamin c.)
-Onion (Raw) Vitamin C, (making eyes water to remove particles from eye), soothing mosquito bites.
- Honey : Soothing throat, healing cuts and scrapes, mixing with bruised fresh basil to aid recover from colds and coughs.

-A mixture of nettle, Echinacea, ginger, and cayenne pepper makes a great soup for colds and sniffles because the Echinacea is a immune system booster, the ginger has vitamin c, the nettle is a detoxifier, and the cayenne pepper has that warming effect.

Get the nettle at health food shops.
Be sure to check if you have allergies to any of the things listed here before trying them!Don't use peppercorn bruise treatment without knowing if you will have an allergic reaction. List subject to change, I'll be danged if these statements have been approved by the FDA. As with any home remedy, consult a.doctor or qualified medical professionals before taking any home remedy .
I will add more when I have time.

Might I add, a mixture of cinnamon and honey will heal many illnesses.

Please don't forget salt and sage!
Adding a bit of lemon wouldn't hurt either..and cinnamon too.

I know there's others.
Please remember that when you use honey, use local growers!

Blessed be

Tea - everything :)

Also, ginger is good for the stomach in many ways--quelling stomach ache, aiding with digestion... drinking a ginger-oolong tea with meals helps your body process it in a healthy and efficient manner :)
