Tarot deck missing 2 cards... still ok to use?

Post by Antu »

Hello all! I was refamiliarizing myself with a tarot deck I had for 10 years. I haven't used it in a few years. I noticed I was missing the princess of swords and the 2 of cups. Is this deck still ok to use? I'm very attached to it since I've had it for so long and it's my only deck. But I'm worried that missing two cards is like gyping myself or whoever I'm reading for of potential insight. I mean, the deck is big enough (77 - 2 = 75) and it's the minor arcana, but I'm not quite sure. What do you think?

I would get a new deck or another like the one you have. You really cannot do a reading without all 78 of the cards. You speak of the Princess card...is this the Thoth deck? I would recommend the Ryder -Waite, Morgan Greer, Hansen -Roberts, or Robin Wood tarot deck to start out on. The Thoth deck is a little different. But if you resonate with it then replace the deck. Good Luck and Happy readings :D
