I have a Penn Dutch relative or two and one of them sent my Dad a packet of hex signs he had designed as a present. Two were for my parents and one for me with the specific instructions to give it to me as a wedding gift in the future (I was 12 at the time and my relative is very elderly).

My parents got one for Happy Marriage and another for Prosperity. Mine was for fertility (a bit presumptuous of him). My Dad let me look at the signs and then we got ready to go to the county fair.

Unfortunately we had to leave early because that night I got my first period.

This stuff packs a punch. Just saying.
