It would be awesome if you could be a professional sacred space decorator. Your sense of style and placement are amazing.

I never really thought about that, but I certainly enjoy decorating sacred spaces :). I'm a people-lover anyway so I'd probably end up doing my service for free . Thank you again Echo!

Seraphin wrote:Yes I made a blend of lemon eucalyptus (as you suggested), cinnamon and lavender... and thankfully there has no longer been any dinner-dating roaches on my altar. :-)

I am going to try to post some pics later, taking my fiancee first out for another driving lesson.
Sorry FF, I almost forgot about this :? . But here it is.

Image

I see some people used to burn their herbs to repel insects and rats but I don't want to use charcoals because first it's messy and dirty to use and second I just couldn't keep a charcoal burning long enough. I also don't make incense because I thinks it's time consuming and tough to use.

So what I do is: I just simmer the herbs on hot water. I don't have to tend to the candle flame and it doesn't produce smoke that sometimes suffocate me  , just steam. I still do the traditional smudging through smoke when I'm in mood of doing it or when I'm performing magickal rituals as the smell from the steam is very subtle compared to the smoke so I find it more useful for this purpose and also for meditation.

I don't use an oil diffuser anymore. I use a fire-proof glass bowl on a metal tripod, which I received as a Christmas gift from my sister. I find it so fun mixing herbs and flowers on hot water that sometimes I get carried away and forget that I need to do other stuffs.

The combination of lemon eucalyptus, lavender and Cinnamon smells like Christmas.

I love the idea of using herbs that way. I might have to steal this too. I work a lot with herbs and this will be nice. Espcially when I set up an altar to Airmid soon.

Those statues from the first pic absolutely amazing! I was kinda shocked about the Ganesh on the skulls too that's not an image I usually see. I searched for along time for a statue of him but couldn't find anything in my price range it made me sad. Then one day I went shopping at the local craft store and this sleek teal ceramic statue of an elephant seemed like it was saying "I'm here" but I didn't have the money at the time each time I went he was there, the same one not new stock so finally when I felt I could justify spending the money I took him home :)
