I finally caved and got a new deck (Photos!)

Post by Sakura Blossom »

I'm still on vacation, and while at a store I saw this deck I'd been eyeing for awhile... I finally had money to spend so I caved and got the deck because it was there again this time in another state! Haha! It's GORGEOUS. I have no words about how amazingly gorgeous it is and I love that it's not the traditional cards either.

It's called The Victorian Fairy Tarot. I LOVE IT. The art is absolutely beautiful and I like as I said, that the card titles aren't the typical ones. For example, there is Seven of Winter as one of the cards. (: As soon as I can take a picture of them, I will share!

(I also got a beginner's book on Reiki. Woohoo!)

And finally, some pictures!

Not the best quality, but it will have to do!

This is the back side of the cards:

Well, perhaps try some readings on here, and see how you do. What could it hurt. You're very energetic and I could imagine your connecting with fae energy easily. Oracle cards are a lot of fun, a nice break from the structure of tarot.

If I had the time, I would Kassandra. ):I just started school again and don't have the time to fully work with them just yet. I did use them, though, for the readings that others had requested of me recently. They work pretty well! As soon as I am able to get back into the swing of things and find a routine, I will definitely get started again! I just don't want to let my stress interfere with the readings, as I've had that happen before. (:

They are Tarot, though, as they follow the same pattern just some of the names are slightly altered. I personally don't like using Oracle cards. I tried a few times before and I just never clicked with the style of using them. Maybe some day I'll try again and see if I like it! Haha. (:

And yes! I imagine I do. They are constantly around me, even if I can't see them I do feel it and I encountered some of them during my first meditation to meet them, which I've read doesn't always happen. I think they might be attracted to my bubbliness and the fact that I talk/sing to myself all the time.

Thanks, Echo!

It's actually my second. I've had my last deck since I was 13, so it was hard to set them aside but I have outgrown them. ): I still use them from time to time, to give them some love, but I'm trying to focus more on connecting with my Fairy Tarot now. (:

Oh, now I see the captions at the bottom of the cards, and that they are tarot. I know what you mean about stress affecting readings if we're not careful. Glad you got a chance to use the deck a little. It is very whimsical.

Thanks! And yeah! I can see how it would look like oracle cards if you didn't see the labels. (: The pictures were from my phone so it's hard to show it and it doesn't help that they are gold so they kind of blend in. Haha! I love them, though, and can't wait to use them more. I just joined a pagan organization at my school, and they do tarot readings for others so I might get to try with that.
