This Rock I Found

Post by Veronica_Rose »

Hey all,

So, I found this rock in my backyard a long while ago, I don't even remember when. (When I was little, I'd love picking up rocks that I liked.) It's kind of odd looking and I was wondering if anyone could offer insight on what it might be. It's very smooth in texture.

I'm not sure, but it's a very pretty stone! I'm like you, I was picking up rocks all the time. I still love picking up rocks.

I unfortunately don't have the answer either :( When I was 9 I fancied myself a geologist and would pick up random rocks and (incorrectly) identify them, label them and put them in my own little museum. I never did get any better at identifying rocks and minerals :P But that is a very beautiful stone. I love the little flecks of that amber-ish colour in there. Awesome!

Thanks guys, I thought it was worth a shot to post and see if anyone had an idea of what it was.
I use it as my meditation stone; it fits very well in my hands! It's an interesting stone and it is pretty too :)

I think it could be Milky Quartz...

milky quartz or snow quartz, perhaps? Why not try asking the stone in meditation to reveal its name to you? I assume you would have started a good friendship up by now by just meditating with it and holding it in the palm of your hands.
