Medical or Metaphysical?

Are books on the medical use for herbs more informative than the metaphysical books on them?

It seems like they would be, since anyone can write a metaphysical book these days. They might not know what they're talking about, and could end up poisoning me. Medical journals are written by medical professionals. Besides, I think any witch worth her broom benefit from the "metaphysical" properties of certain herbs by trusting their instincts instead of those books.

The last line you wrote sums it all up for me :D
I think different Herbs represent different things to different people, it¡s what works for you that matters.
I have a zillion Herb books and not one of them is about the metaphysical properties. Herbs and Plants and Trees share a relationship with humanity. Herbalism is the study and exploration of the interaction between humanity and the Plant kingdom, that's magic enough for me :D

That's what I think, too. Same thing with stones; I would by a scientific book about how diiferent kinds of stones form before I buy a metaphysical book about it.

Plus, I think it's science that seperates herbalism from superstition.
