Spell to Hide Book of Shadows from Prying Eyes

When I received my Book of Shadows, I immediately determined that the Hide from Prying Eyes spell already in the book didn't appeal to me. There was nothing wrong with it, per say, but it just wasn't... me. So I promptly wrote my own. Figured I might as well share, for you Witches who might want or need one.

"Book of Shadows, Book of spells
And memories I would keep,
Good energy stay with this Book,
Bad, witch's broom will sweep.
But some would look upon this Book
Whom I would rather not,
So keep away from prying eyes
As well as safe or lock."

Hold the book up at the North.
"Northern strength, Earth's fair power,
Bless my grimoire, help me flower."

Hold the book up at the East.
"Eastern winds, free and strong,
Make my year of magick long."

Hold the book up at the South.
"South's bright beauty, Fire's glow,
Help my Book of Shadows grow."

Hold the book up at the West.
"Western waters, pool and rain,
Protect me from harm or pain."

Hold the book before the God and/or Goddess candle(s), statue, or other representation.
"God and Goddess, divine power,
Help my magick grow and flower.
Bless my Book of Shadows, all,
That into evil it should never fall.
Protect me and my grimoire true,
And let it lead me on to You.
So that it brings wisdom to me -
As my will, so mote it be."

Thought I'd add my little "spell"...

These words in here are mine alone,
fashioned deep inside my bones.
Each painting, thought and quote
you see
Are all reflections of what's inside
of me.
Beware the urge to take this book
or read it in some private nook.
Because it's magick isn't blind,
I will know you've touched what
is mine !

I saw that long time ago and it
is now inside the first page of
my journal, Book of Mirrors, and
my Book of Shadows.

This is a wonderful idea, beautifully written! I'm not much one for spoken incantations, so I drew a sigil of protection on the front of mine and wrote the terms on the inside cover (protected against any who read without my express permission, a curse upon any who do, which I also outlined- I take my privacy pretty seriously I guess, haha!)
