My Very First Altar
Re: My Very First Altar
Thanks Snow.
I have the vessel with varying types of moss to represent the earth,
blessed water to represent water,
the candle to represent fire,
the incense to represent air,
the stone buffalo and turtle represent the spirits of all animals,
the three monkeys (hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil) to ward off evil spirits
the white sage to enhance spiritual connection
The Altar has three drawers underneath (hidden by drape) for storage of my magickal items.
Oh and the drum is there as music is very important to me. I use it in many of my rituals. It is an authentic handmade drum from Southeast Asia.
I cast my first circle last night. It was a full moon too, so it was very special and will be a memorable casting.
I found out quite quickly though that I want a larger Altar. Between what was needed for casting the circle and what was needed for the enchanting of some crystals that I will be using as part of my wand, the Altar was quite crowded.

As room was quite an issue, I got a larger table that I now use. It gives me more room for rituals and to add more things to my Altar.
I will hopefully take new photos soon. I've been super busy lately.
