Sciatic nerve acting up - anything appreciated

Post by valerian moon »

So last time I went to the doctor I forgot to tell them about my sciatic nerve. Is there any rituals or anything that can hold me over until I next see the doctor or any herbal re,edges that are safe for sensitive stomachs?

Get the homeopathic called hypericum perforatum, take as directed.

I have mild sciatica as a result of one deteriorating lumbar disk and one bulged lumbar disk, all three of which the result of heavy construction labor (eight+ hours a day for around five or six years).

The only things that have helped me so far is 1) no heavy lifting (more than 50lbs) or repeated bending over and 2) many weeks of strengthening the lower back muscles and stretching out the ligaments of the lower back and upper legs.

Most people I know around here smoke or ingest cannabis and say it helps, but I've never tried it.

Do you know if it's from a slipped or deformed disk or from muscle strain or stiffness? I get it because my piriformis muscle tenses up and puts pressure on the nerve. What works for me is a good old heating pad on my lower back. Works wonders.

It's probably from a deformed disk because my mother and her father (my maternal grandfather) both have it too

Hi. I have a long suffering injury and when it gets really bad I use a rub made of apple cider vinegar, olive oil and a drop of Cheyenne pepper sauce. (I use Franks red hot) works well for me. Google apple cider vinegar + pain relief and a recipe should present itself. I hope you feel better. Sending healing vibes!

I use Tiger Balm and rub it on where the nerve connects to the spine. I rub using a J motion to message. It makes the nerve rest. Also, laying on my back, I lift the leg affected by the nerve about 5- 10 inches, then relax and repeat a few times. It makes the nerve relax. Rainy days...OMG! Both the leg lift/relax, and the TB rub, and aspirin.
