In need of some advice, is a spirit in the room?

Hello all
A few weeks ago I posted about getting a random cold blast hitting me during meditation and at first things were OK. However I have been getting some pretty weird sensations. At first it was just a perfume like smell but I've since discounted that as it smelt a lot like air freshener, but last night I was sitting on the sofa with the quilt over me watching TV when I started randomly getting loads of weird sensations. Thinking it might be my grandma's spirit I asked it to stop affecting me and it stopped. Then, about 10 minutes later roughly, it started again and I felt really warm to the point I was sweating, then a couple of minutes later going really cold. Afterwards I had to run to my mothers bedroom as I was so scared. Now I know that I could of felt it just because I have had a cold the past few days but obviously I'm wondering could it have been anything else. Has anyone got any advice as I would like to somehow find out if I am being haunted or my mind is just playing tricks on me.

I don't think a simple spirit visitation would change your internal body temperature. They go more for breezes as they pass by, cold spots in the room and touches across the skin. So, I'd chalk it up to the fever from the cold.

Like SpiritTalker said they can't change your personal body temp but if still in doubt, do an evp. No expensive recorder needed, you can even use your phone. Ask questions and then listen back later with head phones. If you get anything please post it!

Thanks for all the advice I've come to the conclusion that it most likely wasnt a spirit of anything i probably had a cold and over reacted

Hey, we've all done that. Sometimes our reactions can be really funny...in about 10 years! As a college freshman, when a group of us in the dorm were working the Ouija, the phone rang and we all leaped to our feet and ran into each other, and finally ran out of the room. The looks on all our faces made us start to giggle, then guffaw, and finally fall on each other laughing. In honesty, that is the only "bad" spirit story I have, and I began as a medium when I was 17, and in my 20s did the haunted house circuit. I even worked in a cemetery.

So a update
Since this happened when I was sat in my circle on samhain meditating I could sense something was there. To me at least I didn't feel any hostility if I had to have a guess I'd say the spirit was curious probably wondering what the hell was I doing. After I closed the circle I didn't sense it anymore. Then over a month ago while meditating in a circle again I felt a hand on my shoulder. Again I didnt feel any hostility or malevolence it was more protective. I knew it couldn't be a dark spirit due to the fact when I cast a circle I state only positive energies may enter. So if there is a spirit here I'm not so scared anymore and until it actually starts playing up if ever then if it wants to stay here who am I to judge. Obviously if it turns malevolent I will banish it.

You had mentioned your grandmother in your earlier post, so if you were speaking to her, wasn't the hand on the shoulder hers?

Sorry the hand thing was afterwards I wasn't speaking I was grounding centering and in the middle of shielding as I'd just done some basic chakra work and just as my shield went up I felt the hand on my shoulder

OK so another update I finally have a understanding of what's been going on. So I spoke to a friend of mine who was doing a live tarot reading in her spiritual group on Facebook and I didn't even realize she could commune with spirits. She asked the people who were viewing the live stream to ask questions. Now I will make it clear she knows nothing of what I've been experiencing. So I asked her is it my grandma who I have been sensing around me, she said yes she could sense a maternal energy around me and how she described it to me was that when she sees me practicing meditation and ritual its like putting a computer in front of a 80 year old how they will look at it from all angles but not touch it.

Overall I'm glad to know that it was my grandma I have been sensing as I thought I was either imagining it or was being stalked by another entity.
