Look into your local BTW ( British Traditional Witchcraft ) coven ,
as well any local Stregha covens in your area...

They can lead you to where you want to go...

If you choose , you can read the "Gospel of Aradia" by Leland...

I lived in the S.F. Bay Area , in the U.S. , when Z. Budapest was
first starting her coven , but the roots of Diana / Dia Anna / Dea Na ,
Witchcraft , are often attributed to the Italian Old Religion...

( this coming from a male , yet one versed in the Old Ways )

Best on your path...follow the moon , and the Goddess...you will find the
path long , and well trod...;)

And , though some of the Stregha Tradition , dislike him , others embrace him...

The books on Italian Witchcraft , by Raven Grimassi , can serve as an intro , for
a beginner in the Craft...

A warning, Dianic Wicca or really Budapest can be transphobic and sometimes sexist against men. Though the latter has lessened a lot in recent era.

Here is a basic outline of the organization:

http://mystudiesresearchs.blogspot.com/ ... a.html?m=1
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter.

I'm new to the path so I'm still exploring, but Dianic Wicca interests me as well.

Lady_Lilith, I looked at the link you provided but was disappointed that there weren't reliable sources to back it up. My academia is showing, but do you have other sources? I'm curious if ALL Dianic Wicca is as hateful as you say or if only extremist covens/solitaires are?

I an answer that, though being a man, I am not sure how you will receive the answer, Amalthea.
I believe if you read the link I provided, she goes into it there. There are bi, and straight Dianic witches, as well as radical lesbian. *I personally have interacted with all types*

This is one of the more official sites.

The emphasis is on "women born women". There may be individual covens not like this, however, in the spectrum of Dianic Wicca I have not seen it. I don't think solitary, I can say for sure, are nesseceraly the same. I leaned towards Dianic Wicca in my early days and was quite alright with trans people.

This book claims there is more than one Dianic trad, I can agree with it. Budapest is just more prominently positioned in the mainstream.

Are you actually interested in the goddess Diana, a Witch Queen, or just in a female only feminist type Wicca?

Hi there,
I must take issue with some of the content of the Dianic web site reference. Someone must contact them and get their info corrected...this is a quote from there,
Modern science has identified the rose hip as having the single highest concentration of iron of any plant. Iron is a major component of red blood cells, and without iron supplements, many women feel lethargic during their periods.
.Sorry, not true. Rose hips are higher in vitamin C than any other plant, not Iron. V-C increases the absorbing rate of iron but there is no iron in the plant. So it should be used with caution when taking a iron supplement, iron can build up in the system which is quite dangerous. Not all women who bleed have iron issues.

I wouldn't say they are hateful, more like just done with patriarchy. Time for Goddess to come back. No more B. S., ya know?

True enough about care, when taking any herbal supplement.
Yet look halfway down this page, under circulation.
https://www.organicfacts.net/health-ben ... -hips.html
It may, or may not have *the* highest concentration...
But apparently it does have high iron.
Interesting, huh ?

Learning is always good, for all of us...if you want to talk to them about the info on their site...go ahead...but being male, I don't
think I am going to try to get them to change anything...;)
*Not* a good idea...lol...

At first when I got into wicca, I found Goddess more close, but now I think Gods are just as important as Goddesses.
