Xavier

Post by Tutmosis »

This is a poem for my stillborn brother. If he had lived, he would be 24.

In a vessel of warmth did you live,

the Chalice of Life poured over your soul.

Life taken away, but life did it give,

And sprang forth an ephemeral role.

Many a God did see fit to bestow.

In my mother's arms did you flicker away,

A burden of sadness did she tow.

Many a night did I hear her pray,

For the soul of Xavier, oh the woe!

I hope you found peace in the afterlife,

And a great woman to be your wife.

Rest In Peace.

A little rusty, but I do like how it came out. I suppose it must be weird to think of a stillborn as a brother, but to me he is. Even though I never met him. I suppose I'm just really emotional.

Oh well! So be it.

That should read "But life did it give" not " did I give"

Fixed it for you. I had three that didn't make it to birth. It doesn't make them any less my children. Thank you for your tribute to your brother.

Faery = 327

You know, he just may have a Faery Wife, on the Otherside...;)

You may have said more than you know...

Nope, not weird at all. I used to talk to my stillborn brother untill I started school. I still feel he is protecting and guiding me even though he is/ is supposed to be younger.

Tapatalk does have edit. I'll try to post a screen cap.

Edit: Refresh the thread. Tap on your post to highlight it. Select the little pencil at the top as seen in the picture. Bam back in to edit, just liked I did here.
