Balance

Like an unthought memory,
the truth is out there waiting.
It always feels like you must go find it.
A clear reminder of why you accepted this,
of why you let your task begin.
Struggle or no,you know you'll never turn from this.
Long ago you heard life's call.
You'll never let yourself be turned away.

You listen for a voice of calm.
A call from within the raging chaos of the silence.
You'd wait, even until eternity,
hoping to hear it calling you again.

You've heard the shadow beckoning.
The fears trying to keep you blind.
Still, you hold your ground,
you never let yourself turn away.
Stand, even if you feel forsaken.
You know the vow you freely took.
It doesn't matter that your the only one who heard it.
Those are the most important ones to keep.

The answers are well hidden,
not where you'd think you'd find them.
It's like you feel the reckoning come.
Surely, the world's been shaken

Show no fear and no turning your gaze away.
Be the one who redefines it.
Teach the people the secret.
Hope is more than a foggy memory.
Be brave enough to search the shadows in your mind
that reveal the thoughts that were tucked away.
Open the door again,
search your deepest, darkest memory.

Reignite the fire that burns within,
you need never feel broken again.
Even see darkness as the beauty of the night.
There will be a time you'll know, it's darkness that shows us the light.
