mushrooms! aesthetic and purpose? (NOT eating)

So there's not really a whole lot of real direction to this post, except that my back lawn has been on and off a fun host to many mushrooms. Sometimes it'll go for long stretches with nothing, sometimes a few, and sometimes we get an explosion of mushrooms all over the yard - even where you wouldn't expect!

Now, typically, I just like the way they look, so I make sure to continue keeping the yard and plants, so that everything growing can live it's life naturally, barring bugs, birds, etc...

I was somewhat curious though. How would you incorporate this into any form of craft? Whether it be a spell, or even just simply ambient energy and the like?

Til now I've left it all alone, as mentioned, and simply gone under the big tree for meditation, as the mushrooms were most heavily concentrated around there. (for fairly obvious reasons)

They're mostly, if not entirely, gone now. But I'll have to dig and see if I can find the photos I took. I had dozens and dozens, all clustered together and spread out. It was very neat!

Meditation seems like a good idea to me. Can you sense the reasons Nature's spores respond to weather patterns, moisture etc., light? What's the mutual relationship between mushroom and the tree? Can you sense any spirit of the 'shroom? Be the mushroom. Feel how the cluster fits with your whole backyard, and the neighborhood. They are connected to eachother under the soil. What other creatures live among them? What do they bring back to the earth? What do they want you to know about them? Your title suggests you are already thinking along these lines.

Maybe identify the type of mushroom and see if anything connects thru that level of headology. Some safe eating species have healing properties, bringing benefits to the body. The unsafe one's um...don't. Yet they serve a purpose to nature's cycles and balance. There's no place like a garden to see the earth at work, & by extension, to see the bigger picture.

The more we can be aware of natural relationships the better we can intuit a spell's design. We look for that sense of energy compatibility which is the sign of a spell that is in harmony.

I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else or if it's just the way I see things. Meditation is a great way to connect to so many things in the Craft.

I think I'm definitely on board with the meditation. I feel like it's the best thing going with it, especially as it's mostly centered around our tree, which makes it ideal for such. I also tend to feel as though they should stay where they are for their natural cycle, so I'm tending to avoid using them or moving them in any way as well. Just that natural "know", you know? I think I'll stick with the meditation, and use them around me to connect with as its kind of meant to be.
