This May Day, a ten-foot pole?

Post by Firebird »

So the green holiday of Bealtaine is coming up.
Aaaannnd we can't touch each other, how is That going to work?

Does anyone have creative ideas about how they will spend their May Day?
As a group we're racking our brains about how a virtual May pole might work.
And we have noticed raising energy is way challenging.

Set up your pole and ribbons, do each part of the dance yourself, then post pictures. Use a toothpick and yarn to make a mini maypole, wind the yarn, and post pictures.

:D I had mentioned using bamboo skewers to the woman leading the ritual, because it seemed like most people would have these? but maybe a branch from the yard would work. We were talking about this the other day, I really feel raising the energy to be the challenge.

What are some of the things you all will be doing to celebrate while having to stay apart? Will you have a private ritual or maybe just plant some things in the garden?

We have a forecast for rain. Standing under an umbrella has its own challenges but the spokes of the umbrella reminded me of a ritual done by a former group I’d worked with. When starting a session each member visualized themselves in a position at one of the spokes of a wheel and they all imagine turning the wheel to spin up the juice.

Oh I like that very much Spirit, thank you for sharing. We are also figuring folks can weave a wreath of green with flowers inserted to wear upon their heads for the ritual, which we usually do anyway, may lend some continuity to the ceremony.

A ten-foot pole is something that can be worked with!
