Imbolc ritual for a newbie

Post by MackAdam »

I wanted to do a little thing for Imbolc, since it’s all about new beginnings. I wanted to do something that would acknowledge my new journey into Wicca, sort of to start things off on a good foot. What do you think of me getting a candle and burning a sigil over it? I have come up with the sigil and a spell for it. How about something like

I light this candle to honor You,
o Goddess, and my journey new
I call upon north, east, south, west
And ask this journey will be blessed

As you may have read in other posts I’ve written, I am solidly in the broom closet, so it’s got to be something subtle and secret.
Thanks,
Mack

This is beautiful! What will your sigil be directed towards?

Also you might want to charge the candle with intent prior to lighting securing that link between you, flame/candle and connection with the Goddess. For a ritual like this, find somewhere you can be assured the candle can burn all the way down securing your message in the ether.
